Survival Illustrated Has a Kickstarter
For the second edition
Heads up, Survival Illustrated now has a Kickstarter:
It's an upgraded way to raise funds and generate awareness for the project. I've already started working on the second edition. We're going to cover advanced topics like installing rooftop solar, operating a Ham radio, and a completely original set of instructions for repairing bicycles and other transportation equipment. Check out the full description at the link.
The best part?
Now you can finally reserve a print copy when you back the project at the highest tier. They'll collect your information and your address and then send it to me and the team at Survivalutions. You can also back the project at any amount you want, with or without choosing a rewards tier.
A Kickstarter makes everything easier, including sharing with all your peeps. It lends a little more legitimacy to the project, because not everyone can run a Kickstarter. Projects undergo a pretty rigorous review, and we passed with flying colors. I was kinda surprised.
Having a Kickstarter will also draw new supporters to the project. The first 48 hours are pretty important. I've set a modest goal to make sure we get funded. The more you raise, the more visibility it gets.
As many of you know, a lot of work has already gone into this project. I'm aiming for the second edition to land at 350 pages.
I'm currently working on the next chapter of the guide, an expansion of medical kits and emergency medical care. I'll have it ready next week. In the meantime, please check out the Kickstarter.
Let me know if you have thoughts or questions.
Take care,
Jessica
